Kevin J. Allis, a tribal member of the Forest County Potawatomi Community, is the principal person for NACA on policies and issues impacting the participation of Alaska Native Corporations, Native Hawaiian Organizations, Native American Indian Tribes, and tribally owned enterprises in the federal government marketplace. His passion for small business federal contracting is what led to the development of the NACA BD Portal.
As Kevin describes it, the NACA BD Portal is like an “online dating site” for small business federal contractors.
Kevin also serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Potawatomi Business Development Corporation. In that role, Kevin has played a significant role in diversifying his Tribe’s asset base and increasing the overall wealth of the Tribe, which has included investments in tribally owned federal contractors. Prior to joining NACA, Kevin was an attorney with the Washington D.C. based law firm of PilieroMazza PLLC; a nationally recognized law firm that provides superior legal advice to Alaska Native Corporations, Native Hawaiian Organizations, and tribal entities participating in the SBA 8(a) program. Kevin provided sound legal advice to tribal entities in the areas of labor and employment and litigation. Kevin comes from a family with a history of tribal leadership, and a passion for enhancing the lives of Native communities. Both his grandfather and great-grandfather served as Chairman for the Forest County Potawatomi Community.
